We warmly invite you to a unique author meeting with Marek Kamiński – traveller, philosopher of the road, writer and a man who for years has shown that the biggest borders are not always found on a map.

From the poles of the earth to your own „Third Pole”
The main theme of the evening will be the author's latest book – Third Pole – a personal account of a pilgrimage along the Way of St James to Santiago de Compostela.
This is a journey quite unlike polar expeditions, yet equally demanding. Marek Kamiński will talk about encounters with people, the difficulties that arise along the way, the importance of faith, and questions about the meaning of existence that often arise when we are left alone with our thoughts.
During the evening we will also learn about the backstage of the new project Pole2Pole Expedition – an expedition leading through the most contrasting places on Earth.
The project has been divided into 12 stages, each of which leads through a different world, culture and environment, simultaneously becoming another story about humanity, its capabilities and the ways it copes with change.
The entire proceeds from ticket sales will donated to a charity cause of the Marek Kamiński Foundation and Follow the Quality.

Marek Kamiński
Marek Kamiński is an explorer, philosopher of the road, author of books and one of the most recognisable Polish conquerors. As the first person in the world, he achieved within a single year The North Pole and the South Pole without outside assistance. For years, however, his expeditions have gone far beyond merely crossing geographical borders.
In his books, speeches and projects, he talks about courage, mental strength, mindfulness, relationships and the search for one's own path. The experience gained during extreme expeditions translates into reflections close to everyday life – on change, responsibility, inner balance and taking conscious subsequent steps.
