How to plan your time to make your city break from Gdansk a pleasant memory? The motto should be relaxation. The Tricity and its surroundings are a very varied tourist area. Here you will find numerous monuments, museums, forests, beaches and lakes. Let's go for a walk, sit on the beach, listen to the sound of the sea, the singing of birds. In Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot we can have a great time at any time of the year. Even in winter, when other cities empty and die down, the Tricity is bustling with life. Cinema, cafés, bars, clubs and fun... Nightlife enthusiasts will be in their element here. In Sopot on Monte Cassino you will find many trendy clubs and discos. There are also cinemas, cafés, restaurants and numerous entertainment centres in the area. The Tricity is very attractive, so you cannot get bored here - there is something for everyone! It is worth remembering that at less popular times, we can enjoy greater availability of places and lower prices of local attractions.
City break Gdansk - sightseeing in the Tricity
If you like active forms of leisure, an intensive sightseeing tour of the Tricity would be an excellent suggestion. Gdańsk is one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Poland, and its multitude of monuments makes it a great tourist attraction. Its most popular and representative part is the Old Town, and it is worth starting your sightseeing from there. A walk along Długi Targ Street, past St. Mary's Church or the statue of Neptune will certainly be a pleasure. Thanks to public transport, we can get everywhere quickly and efficiently, so a weekend in the Tri-City may turn out to be one of our best trips.
The forests and beaches are always open, so plan to relax outdoors. You can go to the Sopot Forest or Oliwa Park, where there is a palm house and a lovely little waterfall. The Nature Reserve "Duck Meadows" will also serve us wonderful views at any time of the year. Being in Gdańsk, we cannot miss the green lungs of Wrzeszcz - the Jaskowa Valley Park. The history of this place dates back to the beginning of the 19th century, when a rich and very influential Gdańsk citizen, Johannes Labes, founded a walking promenade on the Fox Hill and made it available to the residents. The park suffered during the Napoleonic Wars, but was rebuilt. A walk along the historic promenade is a must. In addition to the trees and intricate forest paths, you will find the 1911 Forest Theatre and a lookout point.
